Matej Gábriš is an outstanding Slovakian graphic artist and banknote designer who has given us some beautiful fantasy banknotes with a wide range of both historical and contemporary themes.

This series is for Scotland's Independence Referendum featuring Sir Sean Connery, Scottish Actor & Producer proponent of Scotland Independence. The reverse features National Monument of Scotland on Calton Hill, in memorial to the Scottish soldiers and sailors who served in the Napoleonic Wars.

The complete print run of this series was 500 pieces without  numbering. The banknotes are a personal ESSAY of the designer. The were printed using double sided of offset process and contain a chainlink ypsilon pattern watermark. They also have a UV security features visible under an Ultra Violet light source centered on the denomination "5" and the Thistle and also incorporates colored UV security fibres.                                                             GSE 2016
