BACKGROUNDER

1  On 60th Anniversary of first Polish banknotes printed in Poland, the Polish Printing House (PWP) prepared a reprint from original plates using paper without a watermark. These banknotes were sold to collectors.

All of these reprints have the overprint "60-lecie polskiego banknotu po uzyskaniu niepodleglosci 1919-1979" which translates to "60th anniversary of issuing Polish banknotes after independence 1919-1979."

These reprints are found occasionally without the overprint. All of these notes found without watermark are reprints not original banknotes.
